OSA 5400 TimeCard™
Server-integrated synchronization
Precise server-level timing is critical to telecom networks, data centers, financial infrastructure and defense systems, where accurate synchronization supports reliable operation across distributed and software-defined architectures. The OSAinside™ Series OSA 5400 TimeCard™ brings high-performance synchronization directly into commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and purpose-built servers, simplifying timing architectures while reducing reliance on dedicated external timing appliances.
Precision inside the server
PCIe Precision Time Measurement (PTM) enables nanosecond synchronization between the TimeCard™ and host system, even as server workloads change.
Bring precise, resilient synchronization directly into COTS and purpose-built servers.
Multi-source timing resilience
Multi-band L1/L5 GNSS with NavIC and Galileo OSNMA, optional Iridium® PNT and advanced jamming and spoofing detection strengthen timing resilience.
Advanced timing in a PCIe card
The OSA 5400 TimeCard™ combines PCIe PTM with multi-band GNSS, PRTC-B capabilities and oscillator options ranging from quartz to rubidium. It supports IEEE-1588 PTP, NTP, SyncE, 1PPS and clock interfaces together with time-of-day protocols including NMEA, IRIG and STANAG. Integrated Syncjack™ synchronization monitoring provides additional visibility into timing performance, while the hardware architecture is designed to support White Rabbit through a future firmware upgrade.
Two deployment architectures
OSA 5400 TimeCard™ and OSA 5400 TAP TimeCard™ options support different approaches to integrating precise timing directly into server architectures.
One platform, two TimeCard options
The OSA 5400 TimeCard™ provides PTP grandmaster, boundary clock and slave clock capabilities together with NTP for advanced network synchronization. The OSA 5400 TAP TimeCard™ supports the OCP Time Appliances Project (OCP-TAP) architecture, providing a PTP Hardware Clock and PPS interface directly to the server’s Linux environment. Designed to meet IEEE P1952 Resilience Level 5 (“Verify”), the platform supports server-integrated timing architectures for telecom and O-RAN networks, data centers, financial infrastructure and defense systems.
