OSA 5510
Assured timing for harsh environments
Modern defense operations depend on precise and resilient timing to support tactical communications, battlefield coordination, radar and sensor fusion, unmanned systems and deployable command infrastructures. In contested and GNSS-denied environments, synchronization accuracy, operational resilience and timing assurance have become essential to maintaining operational effectiveness. The ruggedSync™ Series OSA 5510 time server is engineered specifically for military, aerospace and other high-assurance mission environments where reliability, survivability and operational integrity are critical. Featuring a fully ruggedized design compliant with MIL-STD-810H and MIL-STD-461G, it delivers precise phase, frequency and time synchronization in extreme temperatures, shock, vibration, humidity and electromagnetically challenging environments.
Tactical synchronization
The OSA 5510 supports IEEE 1588v2 PTP, SyncE, hardened NTP and resilient multi-GNSS architectures with STANAG, Have Quick, NMEA, IRIG and PPS/CLK mission-critical interfaces.
The OSA 5510 delivers resilient synchronization, operational assurance and mission-ready timing performance for the harshest defense environments.
Resilient GNSS and PNT sources
Support for M-Code, Galileo PRS, Iridium STL and Galileo OSNMA enables resilient interoperable synchronization across tactical and mission-critical defense operations.
Total timing
The OSA 5510 combines advanced synchronization technologies with Oscilloquartz’s proven timing algorithms to deliver precise and reliable timing across tactical and mission-critical networks. Designed to operate as a centralized timing authority, it supports synchronized battlefield communications, radar and sensor systems, autonomous platforms and coordinated command infrastructures across distributed defense environments. Flexible synchronization distribution and protocol conversion capabilities, together with optional SFP/SFP+ 1Gbit/s and 10Gbit/s fiber Ethernet interfaces, simplify integration across both modern IP/Ethernet architectures and legacy military systems. White Rabbit hardware readiness and multiple low phase-noise outputs further support high-precision synchronization requirements for advanced tactical deployments.
Deployment flexibility
Compact design, low standby power consumption and fast wake-up capabilities support tactical vehicles, MCC operations, deployable communications infrastructure and power-constrained environments.
Built for contested environments
Integrated Syncjack™ technology provides built-in synchronization monitoring, testing and assurance capabilities, enabling operators to measure clock frequency and phase accuracy, analyze PTP network performance and detect synchronization degradations before mission operations are impacted. In-service synchronization probing, TE/TIE/MTIE analysis, packet delay monitoring and synchronization assurance reporting improve operational visibility across tactical and defense timing networks. Multi-source synchronization, advanced holdover performance and integrated jamming and spoofing detection and mitigation maintain trusted timing during GNSS disruptions, mobile operations and contested battlefield scenarios, ensuring resilient synchronization across evolving defense and assured PNT architectures with Mosaic Sync Director integration, secure remote management and Network Time Security (NTS), along with support for dual DC power inputs.
